The Iraqi Securities Commission signed with its Jordanian counterpart a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing joint economic cooperation between the two sides in the field of organizing and developing the capital markets in the two brotherly countries.
The memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the Iraqi Securities Commission, Dr. Alaa Abdel Hussein Al-Saedi, in the presence of the delegation accompanying the Chairman of the Commission, a representative of the Iraqi Ambassador in Amman, the Chairman of the Jordan Securities Commission, Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Hourani, members of the Jordan Securities Commission Board of Commissioners, its CEO, and the Chairman of the Amman Stock Exchange Board , Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Securities Depository Center, and the stock exchange and center executives.
The memo focuses on cooperation and exchange of experiences with the aim of developing the frameworks governing the work of the parties subject to the supervision of the parties and the application of international standards with regard to the issuance and listing of securities and the full and accurate disclosure of information necessary to investors within the dates specified in the legislation and implementation of laws and assistance in detecting and taking measures against any illegal practices in financial markets
