The chairman of Iraq Securities Commission meets the chairman of the Communications and Media Commission

His Excellency the Chairman of the Securities Commission, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, met with the Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission, Mr. Ali Al-Moayyed, where they discussed a number of issues of common interest in the field of developing the investment and communications sector in Iraq.

The meeting focused on future cooperation between the Securities Commission and the Communications and Media Commission, especially with regard to the national license. Views were exchanged on possible ways to enhance the investment environment and facilitate investment-related procedures.

Al-Haimus stressed the importance of trading shares of telecommunications companies. He pointed out that this step will contribute to enhance confidence among investors and providing new opportunities for economic growth.

Mr. Ali Almoayyed expressed the readiness of the Communications and Media Commission to provide full support to the Securities Commission by enhancing continuous coordination between the two parties.
