The Chairman of Iraq Securities Commission, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the commission has started studying the licensing of brokerage firms to trade in global stock exchanges through a technical committee within the commission. Mr. Al-Haimus stated that the commission is working seriously to support and develop the securities market by studying the licensing of brokerage firms to enable them to trade in global stock exchange shares for the first time in Iraq Al-Haimus pointed out that this step comes within the framework of protecting citizens' rights in trading through brokerage firms that engage in this activity without official licensing from the Securities Commission, which is always striving to develop financial markets in the country. The commission is working to provide an encouraging and regulated investment environment, contributing to enhancing investor confidence and raising Iraq's position in global financial markets.
