Under the patronage of the respected Prime Minister, Mr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi, and under the slogan "Early Disclosure Encourages Investment", the Securities Commission held its second annual workshop to honor private and mixed joint-stock companies that disclosed their financial statements in 2018 early. This workshop stems from the inspiration of the government program presented by the government in its economic and investment side, which stems from a horizon that wants the advancement of Iraq in all fields, and that this generous sponsorship by the Prime Minister will contribute significantly to encouraging sound financial practices, including, of course, encouraging Companies are required to early disclose their financial reports, which leads to laying correct foundations for publishing information in a timely manner in order for investors to make their investment decisions based on this information in a sound manner, in order to strengthen the financial markets and raise their efficiency.
On the other hand, Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Faisal, representative of the Prime Minister, indicated the importance of this workshop and its role in promoting disclosure and transparency, which would work to strengthen financial markets, increase their efficiency, and encourage indirect investment in financial markets.
It is worth noting that the companies that were honored this year are five private joint stock companies, as follows: -
1- Mansour Bank.
2- Trans Iraq Bank.
3- AL-Nukhba for Construction.
4- Al-Ameen for Financial Investment.
5- AL Manafaa Company.
In addition to five mixed joint-stock companies, which are: -
1- Ashur Hotel.
2- Trans Iraq Bank.
3- Al-Mosul for Funfairs.
4- Babylon Hotel.
5- Baghdad Passengers Transport.
