The Iraqi Securities Commission signed with its Iranian counterpart a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening joint economic cooperation between the two sides in the field of organizing and developing the capital markets in the two countries.
The memorandum was signed by the head of the Iraqi Securities Commission, Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussain Al-Saedi, and Mr. Shaporm Mohammadi, head of the Iranian Securities and Exchange Organization, in the presence of Dr. Saad Jawad Qandil, the Iraqi ambassador in Tehran and the Iraqi delegation.
The memorandum focuses on cooperation and exchange of experiences with the aim of developing the frameworks that regulate work in the Commissions subject to the control of the two parties and the application of international standards regarding the issuance and listing of securities and the full and accurate disclosure of information necessary for investors within the deadlines specified in the legislation and the implementation of laws and assistance in detecting and taking measures against any illegal practices in the markets Financial.
