Iraqi Securities Commission (ISC) warns valued citizens against dealing with unlicensed companies or entities claiming affiliation with or representation of the Iraq Stock Exchange or any official authority, which contact citizens via phone or social media for the purpose of financial fraud. The Commission emphasizes that there is no official relationship or authorization between the Iraq Stock Exchange and any unlicensed investment company, and that the Commission has not issued any approvals or official letters permitting such entities to engage in trading activities or collect funds from citizens.
The Commission urges citizens to:
Refrain from transferring any funds or providing personal or banking information to unlicensed entities.
Verify the list of licensed companies through the official website of the Iraq Securities Commission.
Report any suspected cases or fraud attempts through the approved official channels.
The Commission stresses that dealing with unlicensed entities exposes citizens to legal and financial risks and confirms its ongoing commitment to issuing alerts and warnings to protect investors’ funds.
