Today, Sunday, the Securities Commission held a press conference at Iraq Stock Exchange building. The conference witnessed the presence of His Excellency the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Faisal Al-Haims, and the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul. The Chairman of the Board of Governors of Iraq Stock Exchange, Mr. Thaer Adnan, and the Executive Director of Iraq Stock Exchange, Mr. Taha Ahmed. The conference addressed the issue of donations collected by the Commission for the benefit of Gaza. during his Speach,His Excellency the Chairman of the Commission said, “This initiative reflects our humanitarian commitment to supporting our brothers in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip, which is witnessing great suffering. We have collected 60 million dinars in donations, and we confirm that we will continue to work with all force to contribute to improving the conditions of the people.” There.” His Excellency Al-Haims expressed his hope that this initiative would be the beginning of broader efforts in which all segments of Iraqi society participate to contribute to alleviating the suffering of women, children, the elderly and men in the Gaza Strip. In turn, Major General Rasoul said during the conference, "We hope that there will be other participation by bodies, organizations, merchants, and all the Iraqi people to contribute to alleviating the suffering of women, children, the elderly, and men in the Gaza Strip." He added that the donations will be placed in deposits in the Iraqi Stock Exchange, offering his great thanks to the Securities Commission for this humanitarian initiative.
