The Securities Commission participated in a meeting of the Joint Iraqi-Qatari Committee, which was chaired by the Vice Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Engineer Salar Muhammad. During the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Investment Commission, Engineer Salar Muhammad Amin, discussed the proposals and requirements related to the local entities and institutions participating in the committee to sign the joint and comprehensive memorandum of understanding with the Qatari side.

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the proposals and requirements that will be included in a single working paper to be presented to the Qatari side to prepare the paragraphs of the memorandum of understanding.

He stated that investment projects in Iraq are witnessing a state of competition for their implementation by investment companies and in all sectors, noting the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani’s patronage of the investment sector and the trend towards developing and developing Iraqi investment bases through openness to countries in the region and the world.
