The Iraqi Securities Commission participated in the forty-third annual meeting of the Africa and Middle East Committee (AMERC) of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the third annual conference of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority.

During the meeting, all means were discussed that would contribute to strengthening efforts and joint cooperation in order to overcome all challenges facing the capital markets in member countries, in order to ensure the continued development and keep pace with all the developments witnessed in the financial sector worldwide.

Stressing the importance of continuing to develop the regulatory environment for financial markets in a manner consistent with international best practices, and to make the capital market sector a leading position, by keeping pace with international standards and seeking towards developing the self-capabilities and competitive capabilities of the sector, which would contribute to accelerating the pace of growth The sector and enhancing its role in supporting the performance of the economies of the member states of the committee.
