The Chairman of Iraq Securities Commission His Excellency, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, welcomes today, Wednesday, the Executive Director of Iraq Stock Exchange, Mr. Taha Ahmed Abdel Salam, the Director of the Board of Governors of the Iraq Stock Exchange, Mr. Thaer Adnan Hashem, and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed the efforts exerted to develop the Iraqi market of securities to achieve a new vision based on increasing the volume of share trading.

His Excellency expressed the Commission's full support for the development of Iraq Stock Exchange, pointing out that the Commission seeks to make a quantum leap in the securities sector by keeping pace with the latest technologies and applying international practices. His Excellency stressed the importance of increasing trading volume and enhancing transparency and confidence in Iraq Stock Exchange.

For his part, Mr. Taha Ahmed Abd al-Salam congratulated the chairman of the commission for taking on the duties of chairing the securities commission and discussed with him the problems and obstacles facing the market at the present time. He called for the Commission's support in achieving stability and sustainable growth in the trading sector.
