Acting Chairman of ISC welcomes a delegation from the International Finance Corporation

On Today, Monday, 23-1-2023, the Acting Chairman Mr. Hassan Al-ukaily of ISC met a delegation from the international finance cooperation, headed by:

Ms. Mary Pechka: Director of ESG Advisory at the International Finance Corporation

Ms Amira Ajaj: ESG Director for the Middle East, Central Asia and Turkey

Dr. Mohamed Radwan: ESG Advisory and Mr. Bilal Al-Saghir: Senior Officer, Iraq

During the meeting, they discussed the continuation of the bilateral cooperation, ways of joint cooperation and capacity building. Al-ukaily reviewed the efforts of the Securities Commission in strengthening corporate governance, the Commission's endeavor to adopt a strategy for sustainable development, and the Commission's endeavor to build partnerships with international institutions to benefit from international expertise and experience.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Thaer Al-Mukhtar, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Iraq Stock Exchange, and Mr. Taha Abdel Salam, Executive Director of Iraq Stock Exchange, who in turn reviewed the programs implemented by the IXS in cooperation with the international finance cooperation.
